FYI, We are on a government hosting and we need to whitelist url for accessing outside services. we have whitelisted the below url Destination - remoteservices.invisionpower.com Port - 80, 443 Request - Domain based I can perform IPS update but not able to setup marketplace. Is there any other domain that need to be whitelisted? If yes please mention.

The ACP Marketplace page is communicating direct with https://invisioncommunity.com and not remoteservices.invisionpower.com, so you'll probably need to whitelist invisioncommunity.com too.

Randy Calvert Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 It does not have a fixed IP. It’s very dynamic.

Marc Posted September 28, 2022 Posted September 28, 2022 You could, of course, check the IP its currently using just by pinging, however as mentioned it may change so you could have to keep changing that if needed. Really you should be whitelisting the domain
Pushpendra Singh Chauhan Posted October 12, 2022 Author Posted October 12, 2022 Hi, After whitelisting the I am able to move the next screen but not able to log in. After login window the below error is coming. For your information I am using Version 4.6.7. Is this the problem?
Marc Posted October 12, 2022 Posted October 12, 2022 Using an old version would not be an issue. The issue is your server blocking connections again by the look of it, unfortunately. Stuart Silvester 1

Hi, After whitelisting the previous error gone, but I am still not able to login to market place. Is there anything still need to be whitelisted?
Marc Posted November 9, 2022 Posted November 9, 2022 Is this is the case, there is still something being blocked unfortunately.
MLS Posted November 12, 2022 Posted November 12, 2022 Hello @Marc Stridgen, Sorry to make an addendum to this post, but it seemed more efficient than starting a new one for a similar error. We just upgraded from ICS 4.6 to ICS 4.7.4 today. Up until our upgrade we had no problems logging into the Marketplace, now when I try to upgrade several plugins we get the message after I push the "Continue as MLS" in the ISC Oath pop-up window: "There was an error authenticating with the Marketplace. Please try again later or contact technical support for assistance. Our Marketplace server received an unexpected response from your community. Please ensure your community is up to date and web accessible (localhost installations are not supported) and contact technical support if the issue persists. (server_error)" I have cleared cache and disabled all third-party customizations in the Support area of the ACP as well as made sure that invisioncommunity.com is whitelisted on our server and am still receiving the above error. Can you please advise? Thank you.

This is a bit of an odd error, as many times it is preferable to do all of one's updates when the site is Offline.
Gary Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 Hi @MLS, Glad this one resolved itself. If you encounter any other issues, please feel free to get in touch with us again.
DonnonGT Posted January 22, 2023 Posted January 22, 2023 Hello. I am having this same issue. When I click on the Marketplace link in my control panel, I get the following error: 3C409/3 There was an error communicating with the Marketplace server. Please try again later, or contact us for assistance. This doesn't appear to be an issue with my firewall. There are four A records pointing at invisioncommunity.com, all with IP numbers on the same class C subnet. I have whitelisted that subnet. I whitelisted the subnet of another class C subnet with 4 IP numbers that point to remoteservices.invisionpower.com as well, just in case. I still get the error. I have watched my server's log files while I attempted to connect to the Marketplace in my control panel and nothing is being blocked on my end. I have been unable to connect to the Marketplace for several months. I was running an older version before and assumed that was the reason I could not connect. I upgraded last month to v4.7.5 and nothing changed. I still cannot connect. Any ideas?
Randy Calvert Posted January 22, 2023 Posted January 22, 2023 Is your server using at least TLS1.2 to communicate with IPS? If not, the request will be denied.

DonnonGT Posted June 28, 2023 Posted June 28, 2023 I am once again getting the '3C409/3' configuration error when I click on the Marketplace link on my control panel. I am running TLS version 1.3. I have the following IP subnet whitelisted: 108.220.132.0/24. Any ideas what else might be causing this error? Thanks. SeNioR- 1

They were both enabled when I was able to access the Marketplace and they are both enabled now, when I no longer can. Nothing on my end changed. I let my membership last and just renewed it today. Is there any chance that that is why I can't access the Marketplace? 18 minutes ago, Jim M said: Unfortunately, at this point in time TLS 1.2 is required. Stuart Silvester Posted June 28, 2023 Posted June 28, 2023 The TLS version only matters for the login in process where our servers are sending data to your server. This error is a communication error without outgoing requests from your server to our Marketplace. I would make sure that your server can communicate with invisioncommunity.com, you could check this from command line, or ask your web host to if you're not sure how to.
