Setup of a Private Forum Area with Private accounts

We are looking to setup a 'Private' forum / area for a specific client whereby we dont want them to be able to see 'Who is Online', 'Access Downloads' or 'even get to see the other 'Forums'.

we are also looking to stop the entry 'Jo Bloggs' is now on the forums - To keep this entry away from the other users.

Is this something that can be done - ie looking to have a seperate area for this group of users? that doesn't really interract with everyone else?

You would essentially just set up permissions accordingly. For this you would need a combination of module permissions (to remove whos online etc) and forum permissions to add to their own sections
