Over the last couple of years, we have had issues with registration confirmation emails being sent out.  We tried changing to admin validation but since there was no email to alert the admin to validate the account, that didn't work either.  We also recently learned that emails for password resets aren't working so we know something in the email setup isn't working.  Any suggestions on how to fix this or where to look to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

First of all, please go to your email settings in the admin CP. On that page you will see email errors in the top right. See if you have anything showing up in there
