Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
David Bryce Posted February 22, 2022 Posted February 22, 2022 Hi - We’ve come to Invision from UBB recently. One of my members asks: Quote I had many, many threads bookmarked prior to the change, all of which now direct to the "Sorry, we could not find that!" page since the URL's have changed. Is there any way to fix this besides manually searching for the threads one-by-one and creating new bookmarks? Any help would be appreciated. dB
Marc Posted February 22, 2022 Posted February 22, 2022 Have you since uninstalled the converters or disabled them? I ask as its those which would do the redirecting
David Bryce Posted February 22, 2022 Author Posted February 22, 2022 I don’t believe so - pretty sure I haven’t touched the converters. dB
Marc Posted February 22, 2022 Posted February 22, 2022 We would need some example links in that case. They should redirect as long as the converters are still present
David Bryce Posted March 18, 2022 Author Posted March 18, 2022 Hi, Mark - Sorry about the delay getting back. Here are a few examples: https://forums.musicplayer.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/1168843/Re_Boogie_Woogie_left_hand_oct https://forums.musicplayer.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/1323666/1/who-do-you-think-is-better-then-keith-emerson https://forums.musicplayer.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/2392790/Re_How_to_practice_tuplet_11_a https://forums.musicplayer.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/2042777/Re_Blues_leads_to_learn_from_s Another example: https://forums.musicplayer.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/1151831/june-82-keyboard-mag-w-bill-payne-solo Google still has this dead link indexed as "June '82 keyboard mag w/Bill Payne solo". Unfortunately, searching "Bill Payne" on the forum search doesn't turn up the original thread. Is there some issue with the forum indexing, or something else we're missing? Thanks! dB
Marc Posted March 18, 2022 Posted March 18, 2022 Please could you upgrade to the latest release and test this, and if you are then still havign problems (I suspect you will) let us know, and we can get this into a ticket for you
