Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
dutchsnowden Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 Doing a drytest upgrade of my board. Convert goes just fine, until I get to this error below. How can I resolve this issue? The conversion just stopes and nothing else happens. My old database is MyISAM. Upgrading from 3.1.4 -> 4.6.9 Error: Specified key was too long; max key length is 1000 bytes File: /system/Db/Db.php Line: 198 serverError @ app.js?v=1:162
Solution Marc Posted December 22, 2021 Solution Posted December 22, 2021 I would suggest first of all ensuring all your tables are INNODB, rather than MyISAM.
dutchsnowden Posted December 22, 2021 Author Posted December 22, 2021 So I should convert old database to InnoDB before anything else? I could not find such a requirement in any upgrade guide.
Marc Posted December 22, 2021 Posted December 22, 2021 I am referring to the invision database there. Please check those are INNODB
dutchsnowden Posted December 22, 2021 Author Posted December 22, 2021 They are not. 3.1.4 is currently running on MyISAM. Is there a requirement somewhere to convert everything IPS table before upgrade to InnoDB?
Marc Posted December 23, 2021 Posted December 23, 2021 We would advise all tables are running on INNODB, yes Could I ask here, are you referring to converting 3.1.4 invision? I ask because this being the case, the issue on your other ticket would likely be that you have had ip.content installed
dutchsnowden Posted December 23, 2021 Author Posted December 23, 2021 Marc, yes. I am an old client. Already settled with your colleagues about that. Yes, it is Invision 3.1.4 and I do have ip.content installed. As far as I know I have more apps bought in the past. Pages, and some others, if not all. I am waiting an answer about the old license from one of your colleagues.
Marc Posted December 23, 2021 Posted December 23, 2021 We would need to deal with this on your ticket. Please see my latest response there
