Tagging a tag to create a new tag steam

It would be very useful if there was a way to "tag" a tag. I mean, I know we can tag members using @. But what about tagging the tags themselves?

I've tagged many topics with different tags and it would be great to know if it's possible to create a function to tag those tags.

For example, I have airlines tag for many topics. When I write a new post, it would be great to refer to @airlines so that members could click on that tag and be taken to the airlines tag stream, all the posts that contain that tag.
