Link filtering does not work?

I don't know if I've been using it wrong since about 4.0 but link filtering never works.

 

1. I add the following url: "*myurl.com*"
2. I set the filter type to: Allow only the links specified
3. I am able to still post links and images with from any urls that I have not specified

 

Will there be a fix to this?
