Topic Summary taking up too much space on tablets

Hi all, has anyone noticed the "Topic Summary" side bar is taking up too much space on tablets?  I'm getting a lot of complaints about it.  Tablets don't seem to have the highest resolution and the sidebar takes up about 25-33% of the screen.  See screenshot from my users:

 

I noticed there is a setting to disable this for mobile devices, but, it looks like tablets are being considered the same as desktops.  I would like to have the capability to disable it for tablets or mobile devices.  Any chance of adding another option for tablets (don't combine it with desktop).  I like this feature, but I only want to enable it for desktops.

You could also just change it to show it under the first post. It looks better overall IMHO.
