SF_Ronin Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 (edited) It occurred to me that the ability to use the app could be restricted by member group and that forum owners concerned about monetization could utilize this to push subscriptions and maintain ad revenue from non-subscribers. Is that feasible or even reasonable? Edited September 1, 2020 by SF_Ronin
SF_Ronin Posted September 1, 2020 Author Posted September 1, 2020 Not suggesting this as a replacement for normal ads, but as a stop-gap until that functionality gets implemented.
TheWorldNewsMedia.org Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 So if I understand this correctly.... If you enter your site to be a part of their app (or an app) then we need to disable Adsense?
SF_Ronin Posted September 6, 2020 Author Posted September 6, 2020 Just now, TheWorldNewsMedia.org So if I understand this correctly.... If you enter your site to be a part of their app (or an app) then we need to disable Adsense? I don’t run ads, but if understand the issue correctly, the current app doesn’t properly distinguish between mobile and desktop/laptop. Apparently this is a terms of service issue for Google. As they have different rates and ads for desktop and mobile. i could be mistaken though. Someone more abreast of the issue could probably tell you more. TheWorldNewsMedia.org 1
