preventing guests from reading blogs

Just wondering how to achieve the above.

I have disabled the option for guests to read blogs, but by clicking on a link shown in a sidebar still allows them to read the content.

Some of my members post rather personal stuff in their blogs only for members to read, not for general consumption.

Any suggestions?
