Limit Gliphy display

I just enabled Gliphy on my site and the members seem to like it, But I've gotten a few complaints about the gif cycling constantly that it becomes distracting/ annoying and I can agree with that too. Is there any way to make it so members who do not want to see it don't, or at least limit the number of times a gif will play and then stop?

No and no - I'm afraid not. It's worth keeping in mind though that this is just a shortcut method for embedding the animated gifs. Users could also simply get a link to an animated gif and post it the old fashioned way, so the behavior you are seeing with giphy directly really isn't something special to the feature itself. It's just how animated gifs work.
