How do you stop a renewal?

On my site I have files in my downloads app that were setup to have a renewal even though they should not have. I don’t want any of my files to have renewals. 

I edited the files to turn off renewals but folks who were already being charged renewals are still being charged renewals. 

I don’t want them to continue to be charged, how do I stop it? 

Whats worse is that my test site is ALSO charging folks renewals automatically even with commerce disabled. It’s a disaster.  Many folks feeling burned and ripped off (understandably)

Can someone help me write an sql query to cancel all existing files renewals please

I want folks to retain access to files they paid for and never be charged another renewal fee.
