Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Victor Mackey Posted January 23, 2019 Posted January 23, 2019 Hey guys. A few good years ago I pruned a lot of topics, members, posts for no reason whatsoever, was just playing around with the settings. Nowadays I'm annoyed because my forum's statistics don't display the "real" number of posts and members. For instance, it says we have 15K members, but the id of our newest member is 25+. Likewise for our post count. Is there a way to artificially put the numbers back to what they should have been, without the pruning? I'm not looking to "lie," just looking to showcase the real stats. Obviously it's not an important issue, but figured I'd ask if there's an easy fix for it. Thanks.
Ryan Ashbrook Posted January 23, 2019 Posted January 23, 2019 Unfortunately, no - that's controlled by the database, and changing it will break references in many other areas of the database.
Victor Mackey Posted January 23, 2019 Author Posted January 23, 2019 Thanks for the answer. I was hoping there was a way just to change what is displayed on the main page, not change info in the actual database.
Ryan Ashbrook Posted January 23, 2019 Posted January 23, 2019 Oh yes, I misread - unfortunately, it's still not possible as the count is an actual count of the amount of rows currently stored in the database.
