ckeditor released their own real-time collaboration system for their rich text editor, similar in capability to Google Docs or Office 365. I can imagine this being extremely useful. Does IPS intend on utilizing this to add real-time collaboration?

While Letters is interesting and all, it requires use of CKEditor's cloud services to store the documents and all the backend infrastructure for updates (based on a cursory read of the service) - plus, this is not a free addon for CKEditor - this is more aimed towards companies integrating CKEditor into their applications, and leveraging those paid services and features.
