Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Matthew Theobald Posted December 7, 2017 Posted December 7, 2017 I've been following the guide on how to add a client id and secret but the admin cp comes back with Quote Google rejected the details provided. Please check the details you provided have been entered correctly and try again. I've tooth and combed the guide and the only thing I can see that I need to do is domain verification. However I can't do very much because my domain, hosted by godaddy had all of it's DNS settings managed by Invision. I tried looking through the other options and I can't see any settings on godaddy that line up with what they want.
Tom S. Posted December 8, 2017 Posted December 8, 2017 I managed to set up Google auth without setting up site verification. So, you should be able to get it to work without it too. Did you make sure to add a link to the privacy policy? It must be some value you are not entering correctly.
Matthew Theobald Posted December 8, 2017 Author Posted December 8, 2017 This is all that i've done, the privacy policy page is empty, don't know if that matters...

Google might scan it I don't know, they are clever like that In the first image, under "Authorized javascipt origins", I think it's supposed to be: http://www.gamer.chat/community
Matthew Theobald Posted December 8, 2017 Author Posted December 8, 2017 Just worked it out! I had http://www.gamer.chat/community/applications/core/interface/google/auth.php as a link. That's only relevant for the example they show, because that's their install location. Mine should have been http://www.gamer.chat/applications/core/interface/google/auth.php
