aia Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 We're all waiting for this for a years. There was a lot of topics and posts with suggestions of this since first IPS 4.0.0 pre-alpha. Some of them are dead with alpha-testing forums, but on this forums also a lot of them. Video element, Audio element, mp3, opus, aac, wav, MPEG-4/H.264 are supported in all modern browsers. So could you say can we expect such useful and needed feature in near future?
trananhls Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 This should be available in a community forum.
Cyboman Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 +1 for a native solution in IP.Forums & IP.Downloads to optionally play/stream directly The following files are afaik not for embeds, but maybe you can contact these authors for custom solutions or feature enhancements:
LukasGr. Posted October 25, 2017 Posted October 25, 2017 +1 Need!! please start / continue implementing important features the community asks for for ages.
Nathan Explosion Posted October 25, 2017 Posted October 25, 2017 Anyone want to be a beta tester? Send a PM if so.
Nathan Explosion Posted October 25, 2017 Posted October 25, 2017 The above plugin is currently being beta-tested by @FGN (thanks!!) and based on feedback so far, it's good to go. I've just got a few bug fixes to put in place, with some code clean-up to do, and then it will be on the Marketplace tomorrow sometime. Note: initial release will be for forum only. I'll extend that to Pages, if possible, but other applications will need further work as I don't currently use them myself.
Nathan Explosion Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 For those who would like something sooner rather than later....
rgf100 Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 This should not require a paid plugin. At the very least I'd like to see a yes or no from IPS. One of those original topics is mine. From 2011! That said, what I will pay for is a plugin that allows easy recording, uploading and embedding.
aia Posted October 26, 2017 Author Posted October 26, 2017 It should not require plugin at all, not matter paid or not, it should be available in IPS itself by default. It's a huge disadvantage to have no such useful feature in 2017. And to be honest even in 2011.
aia Posted October 28, 2017 Author Posted October 28, 2017 And another one the same suggestion within a week in Feedback & Ideas section: So clients really need this implemented by default in IPS.
