Profile page mods

Just upgraded to 4.

Looking at the profile page it seems there is a large dark area that could be used for an attractive picture. I've searched and searched how to change this and can't figure it out.

Please point me the right way and even if it is possible?

Make sure you have enabled 'Cover Photo'.
AdminCP > Members > Groups > on the social tab click the toggle 'Can upload a cover photo?'.
