Colonel_mortis Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 I'm seeing quite a few instances of "this member is not awaiting validation" in my error logs. Rather than giving them an error if they have already validated their account, they should just be transparently redirected to the site index, so that they don't think the site is broken or anything like that.
SaltyBart Posted January 24, 2017 Posted January 24, 2017 We have this problem also, somehow the validation doesn't work a lot of times.. When people click on the link there account is already validated, automatic... Ips can't reproduce...
TSP Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Yes. I feel there is some other error messages as well that should just redirect. Not that I can immediately come up with anything. But for example on IPS 3 I've sometimes had reports of members saying they got an error saying "Something wrong happened with the login process", and then in the image they send me it shows them as being logged in. And when I confront them with it, they say "Yeah, I could actually browse the site fine after that". If a member is already logged in and that's why the login process screwed up, then don't mention it, and just redirect them. Likewise, as colonel_mortis suggests; when the account already has been validated and they click the validation link again; simply redirect them.
