Restricting Uploads

Hello,

I did a bit of web searching to find a solution, but all was outdated, or not what I was looking for.

Currently, when making a forum post, members can upload file(s) in their posts.  There is no restriction to the format allowed, which I want to do.  I want to make sure people are ONLY uploading photos.  If someone could point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it.
