ZachBrownfield Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 Is there a way to make each blog have a unique sidebar. I change the sidebar content on one blog and it changes the sidebar for all of the blogs I have!
Joel R Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 Unfortunately the sidebar blocks are tied to the template. So any pages that use the same template will have the same sidebar block: for example, blog listing, blog postings, blog categories, etc.
ZachBrownfield Posted January 6, 2017 Author Posted January 6, 2017 Hmm, that sucks. Is there a way to make the embedded blog widget for pages look more like the actual blog feed?
Joel R Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 Just now, ZachBrownfield said: Hmm, that sucks. Is there a way to make the embedded blog widget for pages look more like the actual blog feed? Sure, but you would need to develop a custom block template. This is obviously not available in IPS vanilla.
ZachBrownfield Posted January 6, 2017 Author Posted January 6, 2017 Alright, well I've edited the entryRow to not truncate at 2 lines to match my blog settings (which I also increased). Text appears just fine but embedded media such as YouTube videos don't come through. Any tips on how to get the full post to come through?
ZachBrownfield Posted January 6, 2017 Author Posted January 6, 2017 I got it to come through. Apparently, the entryRow function for the embedded blog entry will only grab the first paragraph. I simply combined my blog post within the same

and it comes through.
