Adriano Faria Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 (edited) About This File This plugin will preserve the identity of your moderators by using a generic user as the author of warnings. Notes: Only moderators with permission Can issue warnings? can view the real moderator on warning details Warned members won't be aware of the real moderator who issued the warning: the user won't see the real moderator on warning details or on received email The generic moderator does not have to be a moderator; you can choose a regular member Real moderators will be back on plugin uninstall Edited May 27, 2016 by Adriano Faria AndyF 1
Hezeber Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 (edited) Can this be updated for 4.2? I can't even install it - I got an "1S111/1" error when I tried. Edited September 20, 2017 by Hezeber

Hezeber Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 Much appreciated! When I reloaded the page I noticed it actually did "install" despite the warning and I was able to specify a generic moderator name, but the real moderator's name still appears on the warning.

Just tested and works fine on 4.2.4: I had a report like that before like that (from @Angel Costa)... it was just uninstall and reinstall and it worked fine. Not sure what happened there. Please, try again.
Hezeber Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 Thanks. I can confirm trying it again worked. Adriano Faria 1
GreatJackal Posted January 29, 2018 Posted January 29, 2018 @Adriano Faria Any chance you can make a simple setting on which groups is able to see the real moderator? For my community I would only want the most senior administrators. thanks
Adriano Faria Posted January 29, 2018 Author Posted January 29, 2018 No, sorry. It is a moderator feature.
wimg Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Hi Adriano, Will this work with 4.3.5? Thank you in advance! Kind regards, Wim

wimg Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Thank you, Adriano, that would be great indeed. We can wait. With all the stuff we have to upgrade we will be busy for a bit anyway :). The only reason for asking is that we found that some add-ons, which were fine with 4.3.4, no longer work with 4.3.5. Kind regards, Wim

Adriano Faria Posted August 21, 2018 Author Posted August 21, 2018 It seems so, as i don’t see any support request from the user in the previous post or from the other clients. Post in this topic if you find any issue.

InvisionHQ Posted May 1, 2019 Posted May 1, 2019 I was thinking that sometimes the moderator, before a warning, even writes on the topic as a pre-warning. It would be very efficient if the moderators could also choose to comment with the name of the "Fake moderator". Maybe with a drop-down menu in the reply window.
Adriano Faria Posted May 2, 2019 Author Posted May 2, 2019 Sorry, post a “pre warning” topic isn’t a core thing (not part of the warning system) so I don’t think it will be nice to have a dropdown to select authors in every topic posting screen. That would be weird.
InvisionHQ Posted May 2, 2019 Posted May 2, 2019 No problem do you think that I can do this thing with your Linked users add-on? Adriano Faria 1
OhSoRy Posted January 18, 2021 Posted January 18, 2021 I recently purchased and installed this on my site but it doesn't appear to be working. I viewed a profile as a member and it still showed which moderator issued a warning,

For users without mod powers, will show the "fake" moderator. It works peferectly fine: Make sure you have selected a different user in the plugin settings.

I realized the generic moderator only shows up for new warnings, not old ones. Is there any way to have it be retro actively applied? Edited January 19, 2021 by OhSoRy

Oh yes, after the plugin install. 9 minutes ago, OhSoRy said: Is there any way to have it be retro actively applied? Only if you run a SQL query. Send a PM with ACP access and I’ll take a look tomorrow.
