Guest permissions on calendars

I have set permissions for guests to view events on my calendars. HOWEVER.. I want to prevent them from clicking on an event to get the full details. Is this possible at all?

If I prevent guests from seeing the events on the calendars it all looks very bare/empty which isn't a great incentive to register. Best they can at least see a nice full events calendar yet not be able to get any more information until they have registered. ( unless you have other thoughts on the matter)

trouble is though... if the events cannot be seen by guests then sharing to facebook /twitter etc cannot be done... hmmmm  lose lose a bit I guess.  Need to think it through eh?
