Commerce - Buy Featured content, pay for Database entry

Is there a way to connect Pages to Commerce?

So someone could pay for a Database entry or even pay for a position in a list by bidding for it?

Probably an infinite number of possibilities here... but....

Any ideas or thoughts on doing something like this?

You can do it with groups, as in, create a classifieds database, only "Classifieds" (group) users can post ads, and this is a premium group in Commerce (secondary would be best, or add the permissions to a main group). But not as much flexibility as selling individual ads, etc.

You could sell weekly memberships and that would limit it somewhat. Post ads for a week for $x.

Actually you could sell a daily posting membership which could work out instead of selling an ad. But yes, that is more of a workaround for what you want. I'm with you on looking for a solution.
