Why can't you quote a blog/article? No button, no highlight

I often wish to quote a portion of a blog or article. There is no quote button, and highlighting does not work either.

Can this please be added? All apps should have it. At least "highlight to quote" should work everywhere (including status).

Lots of people have questions or want to comment on a particular line of a blog or article and then the replies are filled with nameless quote tags. Thanks

Its the same thing with Pages record content.

Yeah I don't get it. You have to use the quote editor button for generic quotes without info.

The way the suite works now is that you can quote replies. It just so happens that a topic is an empty container and the first post is a 'reply' (aka comment). With Blog and Pages, the content item has content itself, which is not a comment so the quote button is not present.

I do not disagree with your point, of course, but it's a fair change to add in.

Thanks, would love to see in the future. I would think in the least though, the "highlight and quote" would work pretty much everywhere. But hope a quote button can be added too. Cheers.
