screamingiraffe Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 When trying to install, right after entering the admin name and password, i get the following error regarding the database Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'IPS\Db\Exception' with message 'Table After which I just get: An error occurred (500 Error) We're sorry, but a temporary technical error has occurred which means we cannot display this site right now. You can try again by clicking the button below, or try again later. The database does exist - no tables since I assumed Ipb would create those, and the setup has the correct mysql account info (the database does get created by the setup script) Step: System Check System Check License Applications Server Details Admin Install PHP Requirements PHP version 5.5.30. cURL extension loaded. MADMAN32395 Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 @screamingiraffe if ya want I could help ya out. Send me a pm.
screamingiraffe Posted December 10, 2015 Author Posted December 10, 2015 Thank you for the offer, support is currently looking into it.
screamingiraffe Posted December 10, 2015 Author Posted December 10, 2015 Everytime I respond to support with extra details, the support manager uses a form email (copy/pasting) it repeatedly, which is very unprofessional. I literally got this same response 5 times in a row, and I've given him what he's asked for more than once. Not getting anywhere with support .. fairly frustrating since I've been paying these guys for almost 6 years now, and this is my first real support request Rhett Buck has replied to your support request. Hello, this sounds like there is an issue with the database you are trying to use here, I would recommend that you start over, and use a new database etc. If you would like we can also install this for you as well. If so, please provide the database information and FTP access. Regards, Rhett Hosting & Support Manager Invision Power Services Inc
MADMAN32395 Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 do you currently have a database with data on it? are you able to create a blank database and then point ipb to it for installation?
screamingiraffe Posted December 10, 2015 Author Posted December 10, 2015 OOps... I'm an idiot.. using cPanel and didn't have the permissions set correctly on the files -- this whole issue was my fault. I've figured it out and corrected the problem.. my apologies to the IPS support staff.
