querschlaeger Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Hello, I seems there are bugs that Invision don't want to fix: I wonder if these bugs will be "forgotten" or customers get a list of these known issues?
chilihead Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 It was explained in each bug why it is not being fixed, I would suggest if you encounter any of them yourself you file a ticket and maybe they can come up with a solution for individuals, but as they stated: We will not be fixing this report. Reports are not fixed in various situations such as when the fix may cause more harm than good, reproducing the issue requires complex steps not likely to impact normal operations, issue only presents itself in very specific circumstances, or it is a very niche issue that will only impact few users. In those cases we will choose not to spend time and possible instability rewriting code to fix such an issue. If you feel we have misunderstood or interpreted the report wrong please reply So if none of these are affecting you I would not worry about it.
Management Charles Posted October 7, 2015 Management Posted October 7, 2015 It's a common practice in software development to not fix bugs where the fix may be worse than the problem. As was said in the reply: Quote If you feel we have misunderstood or interpreted the report wrong please reply. Just reply to the bug report if you are experiencing the issue and explain more about it. If we misunderstood we will reopen it. If you are not experiencing the issue then don't worry about it
