Un-indexing specific forums so they're not on the sitemap.

It appears that the rules I had in place previously with 3.4.8 regarding search engine indexing have been removed or overwritten. I have forums that I do not want crawled or indexed as they're "Off Topic" chit-chat sort of threads and not meant to be indexed by Google. I'm not seeing where I can disable this in the backend, and forget how this was achieved in 3.4.X since it was done years ago. Any help?

Possible measures to be used individually or in combination:

• make the forums invisible to guests
• add the forum URLs to your robots.txt with a disallow statement
• remove the forums from the sitemap in the forum settings

Strange. The setting is already set to "Do not include" however a member today approached me on Skype to express concern that a thread regarding their company that was posted in that forum is indexed by Google.
