Archiving

A few months back I was trying out the archive feature, just playing around as I do, I ended up unarchiving everything as I wasn't able to move the topics to other boards as I was adjusting the board structure. I now want to run the archive again, moving old topics into a separate database although it doesn't seem possible to rearchive topics. Is there any unofficial way to reset the archive status across the forum so I can run this again or am I screwed now?
