Make cookie available across site instead of just forum directory?

Is it possible to allow the IPS 4 cookie to be read across the site?

Currently it's only set to be read in the forum directory but I need it to be read in other folders for some custom scripts.

By default the path of the cookies are set to "/forums/", can I change this to make them site wide?
