help uploading security patch

I'm new to running a forum.

I downloaded the recent patch but I don't know how to upload it. Where do I go in the admin room to do it? how?

You unzip it and then you upload the contents of the "upload" directory to your forum root. As in if your forum is located at http://mysite.com/forum/ you go to /home/user/public_html/forum/ and upload the files there via FTP or SFTP.
