Extend Mandrill

Hello ,

We will like to see some additional features to Mandrill integration. Right now you have to enable Mandrill globally to replace your all outgoing e-mails. Though it will be wiser to allow Admins to choose which e-mails they want to use Mandrill with.

Like only using Mandrill for registration and lost password e-mails.

Why would you specifically not want all your email processed through a service designed to properly handle emails?

1. Mandrill integration is not cheap. Our system process millions of notification e-mails every month. If we enable Mandrill globally the cost will be huge compared to SMTP. I have enough server power to handle notification e-mails
2. We only want to track statistics of registration and lost password e-mails to compare with our other statistics and improve our registration ratio
