markopolo2002 Posted April 16, 2012 Author Posted April 16, 2012 Yep, done all of the above guys which is what fustrated me so badly, I ran TOP from ssh and watched 3-4 PID's max out my CPU for something like 60 minutes each. I told the host this and they said they would look into it, a few hours later everything went back to normal and they said they had blocked the offending IP's and managed to get the server back to some kind of normality. They also said they wanted to escalate my ticket to senior staff for further investigation which I'm glad about because for the past few weeks nothing seems to have worked at all, it just seems that every single weekend for the past month we've had the same issues and I can't understand why it has been such a problem for them to figure out - here's hoping :)
Management Charles Posted April 16, 2012 Management Posted April 16, 2012 IPS stopped using VPS servers a while back as their performance was never nearly equal to a traditional server.
