Calendar - More suggestions - Friends Birthday Alerts and RSS Imports

A little bird told me you were going to give the Calendar some lovin', so would you consider adding the option to receive notifications of your Friends birthday's (and board registration anniversaries if they make it in)?
For example, I'd love a heads up a week or so before people in my Friends list have a birthday to remind me to send some of the closer ones a card.

Secondly, I'd love it if we could have the option to import RSS feed items into our Calendar. It would make keeping the Calendar up to date with the latest TV shows airings a breeze. Currently we have to create these calendar events manually.
People could use it to import the Google Calendar feeds too if they wanted.
