Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
jscieza Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Hello, I have just been able to flood the Recent Status Updates widget a few minutes ago while performing a test. Then I deleted all my status updates. I think you should implement some anti-flooding protection to it. Thank you, Jonathan
Management Matt Posted October 25, 2010 Management Posted October 25, 2010 You only mess up your own profile though. The sidebar block will only show 1 status update per member.
Michael Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Please check attached screenshot. There's no screenshot attached.
jscieza Posted October 25, 2010 Author Posted October 25, 2010 Attached. It looks like I'm unable to attach files :S
Management Matt Posted October 25, 2010 Management Posted October 25, 2010 Ah, I see the issue. Do that again and then refresh your browser page (hit F5). You'll see those extra ones vanish. The reason it is doing that is because the status updates are send in via JS/AJAX so it's adding the box to the DOM on the page, but it's not *really* there. I'll get around to fixing it.
jscieza Posted October 25, 2010 Author Posted October 25, 2010 Yes, you're right. Thank you for your clear explanation. I'm coming from vBulletin.com and we never get these quick responses from Staff... in fact, we usually don't get responses to our feedback and product features suggestions. That's why I'm here, testing IPB and planning my move from vB to IPB. Have a nice day! Regards, Jonathan
