IP-Chat being released.

Ive seen a reply saying IP-chat wont be a money maker of some kind nor will it be downloadable.

Id just like some more information on why its not being released as an official product of IPB. Im currently on the free chat room and im thinking of upgrading as my room kinder gets full with 5 users and them 5 users love the chat room. So if i was to upgrade would i get the problems currently going on?

IP.Chat is a hosted solution, IPS has stated several times it is not suitable for those in Shared enviroment and designed around their own specalized infastructure so it would not work for a large amount of people with out heavy modification on servers

We are simply not prepared to support the product in a releasable fashion. It was designed as a service, not a downloadable product, and this is not going to change in the immediate future.
