Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
Connor T Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Okay, it says not recommended if your board isn't visited daily. So thats 2 nots, thus meaning if your board is visited daily use it. Or I'm so confused. Could this be reworded? I don't know what I should put it on. (My board is visited daily)
Hellator Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 It's kind of a grammar mess up. It means that if your board isn't visited daily set it to no. Hard to explain, but that is a bit tricky. >_<
Lakai Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Yeah, if you have a really active board its recommended not to use this feature i guess.
Jυra Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 I would have thought the opposite. I didn't understand this setting, either.
shought Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 Caching the calendar and birthdays [is not recommended if your board is not visited daily]. So if your board is not visited daily you might want to set it to no. If your board is visited daily you might want to set it to yes. As in: if your board is not visited daily it would be a waste of the cache to cache this stuff and if your board is visited daily then it wouldn't be (because it would be resource intensive to not cache the calendar and birthdays, thus making good use of the cache). So if you have a (really) active board it is recommended to use this feature. ( :)
