Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
TSP Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 Hello, to my knowledge this does not currently exist, but if Ive missed something then please guide me to how it's easily done in all skins without actually editing the skins. When adding or editing profile fields this is one of the options you get: Topic View Format? Leave blank if you do not wish to add this field in the author details when viewing a topic. {title} is the title of the custom field, {content} is the user added content. {key} is the form select value of the selected item in a dropdown box. Example: {title}:{content} Example: {title}: This makes it very easy to do this: @{content} To make a link to user profiles on Twitter in topic view. But this is not easy to do in the profile view. I havent tested this but from what I understand I will need to add this into the profile view by editing one template bit in every parent skin and use the field key which you also define when adding profile fields. That makes it time consuming to make what members write in the custom profile fields into clickable links on the profile. So I think you should add a text box for "Profile View Format?" ;) EDIT: For some reason I didnt see this was suggested before here: My topic is reported and can be closed. :)
