Moving part of my board's services to other servers

Hello ! :)

My board is growing bigger each year. So I believe I'll have in the future to move part of the services it is providing to other servers, in order to reduce the load on the board's server.
For instance :
- One server (and more in the future) for the board.
- One server (perhaps less powerful) for the IDM, the links system, the articles/wiki section and gallery.

Up to now, everything is on the same server. Is it possible and easy to move part of the services (gallery, links,...) to other servers ?

It might be a better idea if you separated it like this:

static content server
database server

.... also, check out mySQL partitioning :-)
