It would be good if we can have a handy link for creating and managing rss of forums thro admincp>manage forums.

There already is an RSS management section in ACP - I say they improve that and allow for custom RSS's like Feedburner.com

I would like to be able to restrict how many characters are fed into the post .

I also believe you CAN in fact use Feedburner for an RSS to be fed into a forum.

or better would be a checkbox in anage forums, and it creates feeds for that forum automatically.
