Scape Hut Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 Hello, Recently, my friend bought an IPB Board, we are making a runescape fansite. It confirmed the payment, now we are wondering what to do, how to get access to the board :D. Also, we have a homepage: http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee147/s.../scapehut-1.jpg How do we put this on when you type in scapehut.com and then how do we link the forum tab with the real forums, we are very confused :ermm: >_< All help appreciated. if you can add me on aim it would be faster: wackypackman
frostguy Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 I am the owner of the account of which he speaks of. It is called scapehut I recently bought the board 2 days ago. I am also curious on his question stated up top.
Morrigan Posted June 25, 2008 Posted June 25, 2008 No support is provided here but you will want to submit a ticket to get help on your forum install. The rest you would have to ask for in Peer-to-Peer forum. ;)

First you need a hosting, then you need to park scapehut.com onit. Then you will need to get a ftp client (cuteFTP is one of the bests, but it's paid) and you need to upload your webpage files to the server (usually in www directory).
Alex Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008  he never said the FTP was used for designing the site, he said it was used to upload the webpage files... But yeah, frostguy, because you are in the customer group, you can also ask for help in the IPS Resources forums and others will be able to help you there :)
Tony Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 FTP LOL.... You can't design a website with FTP, its only good for mass uploads XD XD XD. LOL ... yea, FTP Photoshop, they will release it soon. Nope, Zachery, you misunderstood me, I didn't say that FTP is good for design, I was only say that he will need to use it to upload IP.Board files on his server.
