New topic from calendar events posted

I tried to install a mod that was available for this but it did not work :(

I am currently using 2.1.7, and have 2.3.5 as a test board, just playing with it.

It would be nice to have an option to have a new topic posted in a forum when a new calendar event is posted.

End Users can then subscribe to that forum to be notified of new events from the calendar.

As a workaround, you can import your calendar RSS feed as an RSS import on your board.

I unfortunately do not know much about RSS. Is their a tutorial on RSS somewhere? How would I do this?
