Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
bryantq Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Hello.I love the trashcan feature so that an audit trail is left for my moderators. On that same token, i would love a setting that makes it so that all deleted posts are rather just set to invisible.
Michael Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Why don't you just set them to invible then instead of deleting them?
Jason L Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Yes, as Michael said...There already a method in place for what your asking. Instead of selecting the Delete button, just multi-mod select your posts and choose to Set Invisible (Unapprove Post). For ease, you can skin your own unapprove button to your post menu bar.
Strange_Will Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 I do like a similar feature to this from vBulletin, where "ghosts" of the posts are left behind telling you who deleted them, and allowing you to look at/restore them.
The Clash Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 ^Indeed. It will look like a normal thread, have "View" and "Manage" links, and will say "Thread deleted by: xxxx | Reason: yyyy"
