Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
compindustries Posted March 10, 2007 Posted March 10, 2007 I have been doing this manually, however, I think it would be a great addition to the default software.Often times people register from a location where they do not have access to their e mail, of course on sites that require validation, they cannot post until they click a link within the validation e mail sent.If they are like me, sometimes I forget to do that thus never returning to the site again.I think it would be a good idea to build into the tasks, a task that checks the validating usergroup and if there are any "members" in there, sends out an e mail reminding them to validate their account. What do you think?
Michael Posted March 10, 2007 Posted March 10, 2007 But when they return to the location where they can check their email, the original validation email would still be there.

Jaggi Posted March 10, 2007 Posted March 10, 2007 you can resend validation emails from the acp. its a option.
compindustries Posted March 10, 2007 Posted March 10, 2007 Yes, however, not to a group...only to an invidual, right?I think we are missing the point...I have been doing this manually, I am referring to having the system do it automatically.
