I have been doing this manually, however, I think it would be a great addition to the default software.

Often times people register from a location where they do not have access to their e mail, of course on sites that require validation, they cannot post until they click a link within the validation e mail sent.

If they are like me, sometimes I forget to do that thus never returning to the site again.

I think it would be a good idea to build into the tasks, a task that checks the validating usergroup and if there are any "members" in there, sends out an e mail reminding them to validate their account.

What do you think?

True...but if they are like me and get a ton of e mails...those sometimes are deleted.

I just thought it might be a good way of reminding members to come back to the site :)

you can resend validation emails from the acp. its a option.

Yes, however, not to a group...only to an invidual, right?

I think we are missing the point...I have been doing this manually, I am referring to having the system do it automatically.
