Email to Posting

I am looking for methods to create postings directly from emails.

For example, I would like to be able to create an email address specific to a forum. If an email is sent to this address, it should be posted in the forum as a new posting. The limitation to this is that I wanted to verify that the specific originating email address (from) belongs to a user that is registered with the forum and is able to create new postings.

I spoke to Invision Technical Support a couple of times explaining the need and I did not receive a solid response.

I was told however that there are mods available that may be able to provide this functionality. I came in contact with a number of people on this with partial solutions.

Does anyone have any suggestions regarding specific (complete) mods that can do this?
