When you add custom profile fields in IPB, regardless of Text Area or not, it still is displayed in the post. Is there an option to turn off the display of Text Areas in posts? Users have one text area to tell more about themselves, and the other one is for staff only to see why the last warning was issued. However, since both fields can get long, it stretches the post out more then I want it to.

I know there is an option to turn off custom profile fields from appearing entire in posts, but I don't want to do that. I just want to be able to turn off the visibility of Text Areas in posts.

I beleive to fix what you are trying to do, you delete the contents of the last box (when you go to edit the options for that custom profile field in the ACP). That should work, if I read you correctly.
