IPB 2.2 RC3 has the upgrade folder in it. i was wondering if its safe to upgrade to RC3 from 2.1.7? Im really thinking about it because i cant wait any longer

Not recommended for a live board.. But I have done it with no problems on a backup board. Did not get a single problem

There are lots of problems in rc3.

If you use it on a live board, you won't get IPS support (which you pay $30/$69.95 for a year)

Odd...I'm running RC3 without a hitch...stable as can be. I haven't noticed any problems as of yet, still you should wait if it's going on a live board.

Mine is on a live board, i have no problems atall.

PS: i have only had my forum for about 20 days, so thats why its running on a live board, because i havnt got much to loose!

If you are starting a new board, you'll be okay using RC3. If you are upgrading, wait for final. Though you should really wait for final in either case.
