EDM Nexus Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 It isn't happening to everyone, but since the upgrade to 2.2 RC1 I'm seeing reports from users who cannot sign into the board, or can sign in but are booted out either when they hit reply to post a response, or hit submit to finalize that response.Is anyone else seeing this? Is there any way I can see why it's happening?
stooley Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 Yes, I experienced this issue earlier today. I cleared all my cookies and had the other users do so. I have not had the issue since then. Time will tell if that is the solution to your issue.
EDM Nexus Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 Yeah.. that didn't fix anything.I'd read that it might be a cookie thing, so I defined a global cookie domain and turned off the geographical cookie. One or both of those fixed it.
.Ryan Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 This happend to me in the Beta 2, it has something to do with the Stronghold Cookie. Try to go into the cookie settings and create a prefix like:.yoursite.com_something

.Ryan Posted October 19, 2006 Posted October 19, 2006 I would either disable the Stronghold Cookie at the moment, but try adding a prefix. It also depends if you have more then one forum running on the same host, because then the cookies will conflict. So clear all the caches, and create a prefix for one of the cookie options. So like would be like:_forums1_forums2_forums3
