Septerra
So with the new release of 2.2, does anyone think that the Skinning and Modding community will be affected? I mean with all the numerous refinements and ajax here and there as well as the new pricing structure, should we expect to see a decrease in the number of Mods and Skins available for IPB 2.2? The Gamers Force
Most mod and skin creators have perpetual licenses or could get enough donations to get an ipb license. I'm sure that we should see just as many as ever.
Keith J. Kacin
People thought that the modding/skinning community would be affected with price changes in the past. But personally I have only seen it grow stronger with time.
UBERHOST.NET
If you replace the word "fool" with "please" in Abe Lincoln's famous quote, you get: "You can please some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not please all of the people all of the time.Because of this, modders will always be needed. As to the price structure, I don't see it affecting the amount of people who create mods and skins, for the reasons Keith already stated above.
