Logan Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 When making a new subscription package, in addition to changing the user's primary usergroup there also should be options to give a user secondary permission masks and secondary groups. Of course when it expires remove what was given by the package.
Luke Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 A big +1.Although I see using user groups as a bit of an extreme, especially if you want to have a bunch of different packages... And you cant do it incrementally.... So the primary group would only be for status in my eyes... So what I would like to see is:A "settings override" column in the member table (serialized) that over-rides the group settings (if it's considered better) so you can incrementally add stats to the member, and not effect group at all. That way if they started with 20 PM storage and they wanted 50 more they could get a subscription (total 70). Then if they needed more, they could do it again and have a total of 120. Once that transaction expires it reverts back. Also with "subscriptions", at least when I added it, it uses paypal's buy it now thing. You should be able to choose whether it's one time or subscription (so it can auto bill). There should be a way to add a donation thing where the member can put in what ever amount they want to donate. And where you have when it expires vs. never expire.... you should have the option to have it say "One Time" instead of "never expires". And if you have it reoccurring (auto bill) have it say something about it.The subscription thing, for me, is my biggest gripe :D
