Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted October 14, 200519 yr Great idea, but it'd be better if it had more info imo... 1. Who deleted and a reason for deleting if they've entered one 2. Ability to purge (root admin only, naturally) 3. Link to thread (it just says "From Topic ID x") it came from Much better than the posts just disappearing to nowhere it must be said.
October 14, 200519 yr Also, it wuold help if those deleted topics had a record of who deleted them (Administrator's option). As currently it appears only for the original topic, which is quite inconveniantly.
October 16, 200519 yr Yes! It is really very important feature! Just look through this forum:http://forums.invisionpower.com/index.php?...188154&hl=trashhttp://forums.invisionpower.com/index.php?...157122&hl=trashhttp://forums.invisionpower.com/index.php?...150353&hl=trash There must be a feature to track all deletitions of posts and topics with ability to read theese deleted posts/topics. I like the way vB do it: a post/topic gains a flag, saying it is deleted. If you are a member - you don't see this post/topic at all, but if you are an moder/admin you see a small line, something like "There is a deleted posts" and a link "Read post". It is very neat and comfortable. Of course you can click a link "Restore post" and it is visible by everyone again! My company is going towards IPB from vB and I really looking forward for such features... Thanks in advance!

You can hide (unapprove) posts in IPB - it would work similar to what you've just described. eyedam
